Originally supplied in the USA, this example has been collector-owned from new, spending the majority of its life in sunny Florida before being imported to the UK in 2021 to join a significant private collection. Carefully maintained throughout its life, it is accompanied by original import paperwork and service records, together with its owner’s manual, warranty booklet, factory tool kit, and a matching hardtop with a stand. Low numbers of Z8s were produced worldwide, with assembly carried out largely by hand at BMW’s Munich factory. Conceived as a modern interpretation of the BMW 507, the Z8 combines classic roadster proportions with an aluminium spaceframe, the 4,941cc S62 V8 shared with the BMW E39 M5 and a six-speed manual gearbox.
