1996 TVR

The car has been stored for approximately eight years and done very little miles prior. Overall condition is average for its age and it would benefit from some cosmetic TLC but importantly it starts on the key, runs well and drives nicely.

The chassis is in good condition, which is obviously one of the main things to consider with these cars. Anyone seriously interested is very welcome to come and inspect it properly, and I'm happy for the car to be viewed on a ramp so you can see the chassis and underside for yourself.

It has had a few useful upgrades over the years, including an upgraded ignition system and audio system, while otherwise retaining the character and simplicity that makes the Griffith such a great car.

The interior presents reasonably well, although as the photos show there are areas where the car's age and period in storage are evident.Likewise, the bodywork is presentable rather than perfect. I'd much rather describe the car accurately and let prospective buyers judge it for themselves than oversell it.

This would suit someone looking for a usable Griffith 500 that they can enjoy and improve over time, rather than paying a premium for a fully restored example.

The Griffith 500 is becoming increasingly difficult to find, particularly cars where the underlying chassis is sound. There is certainly some tidying and recommissioning to do here, but it appears to be a solid basis for someone wanting one of TVR's most iconic V8 roadsters.
