Description
Having owned 10 911s in the past I had an idea of what I was after and I saw this car advertised some 300 miles from me. I got chatting to the owner and decided to go and see the car. It turned out to be a good decision; the owner was a real petrol head and a 911 enthusiast and the car was exactly as described, so I bought it on the spot.
The Milltek exhaust was also a great selling point, very intoxicating!
The car is spotless. No marks or even stone chips. I am very fastidious about my cars and I appreciate with older cars some patina is expected, but this 911 has none. The bodywork has been kept on top of, including the known weak areas, at considerable cost.
I have all the invoices for the below work in a huge history file, but it’s easier for now to list it below, and any prospective buyer can come and have a look at them.
Also contained is a certificate from Porsche confirming the options on this particular car, which is a nice touch.
A few details.
Upgraded IMS, see picture on car with barcode.Alcantara roof lining. No sunroof.
No kerbing on wheels
Unused space saver and tool kit with car
A few years ago 911s with, shall we say, more lively interiors were less popular; people wanted grey or black, but now with the Sonderwunsch programme at Porsche buyers are choosing more interesting paint and colours for new and older models, at great expense.
The most recent work was carried out at the well-known specialist Philip Raby, who was happy to take the car into stock, but I wanted to enjoy it for a bit longer. Sadly, a knee operation means no more clutches for a bit.
I have maintained it at great expense as below, adding matching rear Michelin Pilot Sports as well as the other works.
The original Porsche radio is included also working should the buyer wish to put ot back in, the new one has bluetooth etc.
