Based on the M3 Competition xDrive the CS was a limited run model produced from March 2023-February 2024 making it much more special than a standard Competition and much more than just a power upgrade. BMW put a lot of work into reducing weight and sharpening the chassis. You get extensive carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic, including the roof, bonnet, splitter, mirror caps, diffuser and rear spoiler. There are also carbon bucket seats and a titanium rear silencer.

The suspension, steering, damping and M xDrive calibration are all CS-specific as well. The result is a car that feels substantially more focused than a regular M3 Competition.
