2009 PORSCHE BOXSTER

I’ve owned this beautiful Boxster since October 2019, using it as a weekend car and covering around 2,000 miles a year. I searched carefully for the right example and bought it from the highly regarded Harbour Cars.

The 987.2 facelift is particularly sought after, combining the 2.9-litre naturally aspirated flat-six with Porsche’s superb seven-speed PDK dual-clutch gearbox. The revised engine avoids the IMS bearing arrangement associated with earlier models, while the PDK delivers exceptionally quick, seamless gear changes. Together, they make this one of the most appealing and usable modern-classic Boxsters.

The car drives superbly, handles beautifully and sounds fantastic. It has been garaged throughout my ownership and rarely used during winter. Overall condition is excellent, and it has been maintained to a high standard by a trusted local Porsche specialist, with MOTs carried out at the main dealer.

• Front arches repainted this year by a reputable local paint specialist to address common stone-chip damage (minor)

I’ll be sorry to see it go, but it’s time for a change. This is a well-cared-for, properly maintained Boxster with an excellent specification and a documented ownership history.
