1989 Aston Martin

These X Pack cars are now regarded as the most desirable of all V8 models and this special example is especially rare in having just two owners from new, the first until 2018. Finished in the lovely and so appropriate colour combination of Dark Green with fawn leather interior, it was supplied when new on the 1st of August 1989 by official Aston dealer Marshalls of Cambridge as noted in correspondence and in the original stamped service book on file.

The first owner clearly loved his Aston, keeping it for twenty-nine years and 49,500 miles, looking after it fastidiously throughout this time as detailed in the comprehensive history file and noted in service book stamps. The first service was completed at the Aston Factory in Newport Pagnell, at this time the optional factory sports exhaust system was fitted. The car continued to be correctly maintained by RS Williams and Tony Christie Classic Engineering with a final service at Aston Martin Works in 2018, prior to the car being sold by Bonhams Auctioneers that year.

The last owner purchased the Vantage at this sale to join his collection of exceptional cars. It was clearly a very nice original example as confirmed in a full test and report carried out by Aston Martin Works at the factory in 2022, a copy of which is on file. In 2023 a service was completed by highly regarded Aston Specialist Nicholas Mee and in 2024 they completed more extensive work as detailed in an invoice on file amounting to £30,000.

Today the Aston remains in fine and largely original order, it has a particularly nice original feel about it and it drives exceptionally well. It has now covered 51,000 miles from new and comes with extensive history files as referred to above and all original books and tools.
