Description

Only 40 V600 Le Mans examples were built by the factory between December 1999 and October 2000 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Aston’s 1959 Le Mans 24 Hour Victory. Each car was individually numbered and performance was prodigious, the 600 bhp from the twin Eaton Supercharged V8 giving a 200mph top speed with a 0-60 mph time of 3.9 seconds, impressive for a car that was by no means light. The Driving Dynamics package fitted kept this performance in check and styling features denoted the model, notable was the blanked-out grille, a homage to the nightly V8 Vantage of the previous generation.

These V600 Le Mans are now amongst the most collectible of Aston Martins. This UK supplied right hand drive example is finished in a colour combination which really shows off the V600 styling features, Aston Martin Racing Green with a Magnolia interior piped in Forest Green to match the carpets and a Parchment Alcantara headlining. It has covered 19,000 miles from new in the hands of five enthusiastic owners all of whom have maintained the V600 perfectly as detailed in the comprehensive history files which accompany the car. Most of this work has been completed by Aston Martin Works and the highly respected specialists at Nicholas Mee, indeed the latter company have sold the Aston to the last two owners.

The car remains in factory fresh condition and drives superbly as one would expect. It comes with the above-mentioned history files of correspondence, maintenance invoices and MOT Certificates together with all books and tools.

What a special and evocative car this V600 is.
