Introduced in 1989, the MX-5 revived the traditional lightweight, front-engined, rear-wheel-drive roadster, combining engaging handling, a rev-happy engine and open-air motoring in an affordable, everyday package.

The1997 Mazda MX-5 Classic marks the historic final production year for the iconic first-generation (NA/Mk1) MX-5 roadster and was limited to just 400 units finished in Brilliant Black and powered by the 1,840cc four-cylinder engine offering 132bhp

Showing just over 30,000 miles, it has covered relatively modest mileage for its age and remains an appealing example of Mazda’s enduringly popular sports car. The MX-5 NA now has a cult following of devoted enthusiasts with numerous clubs and an excellent parts support network

Originally supplied to it's first owner in Brough, Humberside, it was subsequently acquired by a member of the same family, with the family ownership continuing through to 2024. The history records one original owner followed by two keepers within the same family

The history file includes six service stamps, records of a major service and cambelt kit in 2009 at 22,462 miles, and subsequent maintenance including brake work, batteries and underbody protection
