The battery is owned outright. It was bought out of the Renault hire scheme in December 2022, so there is no monthly lease to take over. The Renault Retail Group battery invoice and the Mobilize Financial Services release certificate both come with the car, and the battery serial number matches on both.

Mileage

Recorded mileage is 35,159, which is high for a Twizy. 21,649 were on it when I bought it from a Renault main dealer in January 2018 (the DVSA reading two days before collection). It has done 730 miles in the last four years and 124 in the last twelve. All fourteen MOT odometer readings are on the DVSA record at gov.uk/check-mot-history. The dealer's order form says 22,168 at collection, which I cannot reconcile with that figure. This advert uses the DVSA reading throughout.

Range

On 13 August 2026 the dash showed 23 miles at a full charge. That is the car's own estimate, not a driven test. Battery capacity reads 69% of original over OBD2. It suits a few miles across town, not a commute.

Running costs

Road tax £0 a year, in the owner's name. ULEZ £0. Congestion Charge £9 a day. Insurance £349 a year, fully comprehensive, quoted for 2026/27. Charges from a 13A socket in about three and a half hours.

History

Two former keepers. Same garage since 2020: MDM Auto Clinic, Park Royal. MOT expires 3 July 2027.

Rear discs replaced, June 2021, £488 at MDM. No disc advisory at any test since.

Four tyres and a rear caliper, June 2022, £506.

Handbrake mechanism rebuilt, June 2022, £175.

12V battery replaced, May 2026. Receipt included.

Faults

Front and rear brake pads were advisory at the June 2026 MOT and are not replaced. The asking price reflects this.

The driver's seat base is torn in two places, with the foam showing.

The nearside body panel below the door mirror is cracked.

The 12V battery goes flat if the car stands for weeks. A trickle charger or isolator switch sorts it.

SORN from October 2023 to July 2025, stored indoors. This is the gap in the MOT record.

June 2026 MOT failed first time on a horn and a reversing lamp. Both fixed the same day.
