Description
Having said all that the car has been epic, keeping up with all far superior technology and Porsche super cars on my journey. The engine and gearbox along with all running gear is strong. The car has undergone extensive inspections and service work to complete the adventure the works below have been completed by my trusted Porsche enthusiast and local garage specialist. Many invoices and photographs to validate. These can be made available if required.
Upon buying late late 2025 the car was serviced with all oils filters, including cabin filter and a K&N air filter. The drive belt replaced and 4 brand new tyres were fitted. I purchased with a sweet sounding exhaust and a modern apple car play unit with upgraded sound system. The original is with the car when sold. The wheels are 19’ 5 spoke design an expensive upgrade when new and are free from damage. I also have installed wheel spacers for a slightly wider stance. Front and rear bumpers have been removed for cleaning and inspection of components like radiator & condensers which have all been given a clean bill of health. The coolant hoses and connections across the front show no evidence of corrosion or leaks. The braking system has had new fluid and a full set of Brembo pads inc sensors, the discs are good for thousands of miles to come. All suspension anti roll bar bushes front & rear have been replaced and the rear bar has been powder coated freshly black. All drop links replaced at the same time, rear o/s coffin arm and driveshaft were replaced following inspection at MOT due to loosing grease on the metal joint. The MOT highlighted weak o/s jacking point (common issue due to position of drain hose from fuel filler) and exhaust emissions both these advisories have been sorted with gaskets for exhaust and a new jacking point welded in. The front bilstein suspension was replaced following inspection prior to my ownership. Finally after all the work the car underwent all 4 wheel alignment. So in summary a well mechanically sorted 987 Boxster.
Not so good points all cars have them! In truth I’m being very critical. The car has had some level of paint correction it’s 20 years old after all, the repairs are I’d say are more than acceptable but as the car has a few stone chips I’ll leave this to the new owner to decide. I wouldn’t want to tart it up for sale to give rise to concerns for a buyer.
Whilst this is not everything if you would like to learn more get in touch. Happy to discuss and potentially show the car to interested buyers.
