2008 JAGUAR XKR

Introduced in 2008, the XKR-S represented the ultimate development of the 4.2-litre supercharged XKR, with just 200 examples produced worldwide, 50 of which were right-hand drive for the UK market

Powered by Jaguar's 420bhp, 4.2-litre AJ34S supercharged V8 engine, driving the rear wheels through a six-speed ZF automatic transmission with steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters

The XKR-S specification included revised suspension with bespoke springs, dampers and anti-roll bars, recalibrated CATS adaptive damping and a quicker-ratio steering rack. Braking was enhanced by an Alcon R Performance system with 400mm front and 350mm rear discs, complemented by red six-piston front callipers and matching red rear callipers. Exterior enhancements included a front splitter, side sill extensions, rear spoiler and integrated rear diffuser

Finished in Ultimate Black with Warm Charcoal soft-grain leather upholstery and contrasting Ivory stitching, Piano Black veneers and distinctive XKR-S detailing, including black suede headlining, branded instrument cluster, tread plates, head restraints and carpet mats.

Benefiting from mecanical expenditure, including €2,777 at Curated Motorsports in Portugal in 2024 for a full service, gearbox and differential oil changes, suspension components and two new Pirelli tyres, followed by a further £1,174 at Jaguar MK in 2025 for electronic handbrake repairs and associated work

More recently, approximately £3,000 has been spent with a Jaguar specialist on underbody cleaning and protective waxing, alloy refurbishment, brake fluid replacement, gearbox and differential oil checks, door latch repairs, headlining retrimming, a replacement air-conditioning pipe and condenser, followed by a full machine polish and ceramic coating

With its limited production, distinctive factory specification and considerable recent maintenance expenditure, this represents an appealing opportunity to acquire one of the rarer modern performance Jaguars, combining traditional grand touring comfort with genuine supercar-rivalling performance
