The Evora made its debut at the 2008 British Motor Show and was built on the first all-new Lotus platform since the 1995 Elise. Hand-assembled at Hethel around a bonded and riveted extruded aluminium chassis, it set out to take on established rivals such as the Porsche Cayman with a more exclusive, more involving alternative, and its supple ride and beautifully weighted steering quickly earned it a dedicated following.

Behind the cabin sits a Toyota-sourced 3.5 litre V6 producing 280 HP, here paired with the six-speed IPS (Intelligent Precision Shift) automatic gearbox with steering wheel paddles. It makes the Evora an easy companion in traffic and on long journeys, while still allowing quick manual changes when the road invites it.
