Launched at the Geneva Motor Show in 1996 as the replacement for the XJS, the XK8 introduced a new all-aluminium V8 in an exciting design by Fergus Pollock and reinvigorated Jaguar’s brand

The 4.0-litre V8 produced around 290bhp when new and drives the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic gearbox.

Registered new in August 1998 and well presented in Carnival Red with Oatmeal leather and a burr walnut dashboard. Displaying less than 52,000 miles at the time of cataloguing, MOT records show only around 12,400 miles since 2011

In 2019, at 48,765 miles, S F Repairs fitted a new timing chain kit, replaced the tappet buckets and shims, and renewed the oil, filter and coolant, with the invoice totalling £1,022

Further invoices cover a new headlining in 2022, nearside sill and arch repairs with panels repainted in 2021, and an ABS pump unit repair in 2022

Supplied with the its V5C, older MOT Certificates and the current one valid until September 2027
