1999 LOTUS ELISE

The car's history is known from new:|

1st owner: Purchased the car in 1999 and covered approximately 17, 000 miles between 1999 and 2003.

2nd owner: Dry-stored the car for 18 years after moving to America on a temporary work contract. The contract ultimately became a much longer stay, resulting in the Elise remaining in storage throughout this period.3rd owner: Fully reconditioned the car to make it road-ready. He subsequently owned the Elise for approximately three years and covered around 6, 000 miles. The car was upgraded with Bilstein suspension in May 2020.

Current owner: I purchased the car in August 2022 with 23, 500 miles and have cherished it ever since. During my ownership, I have driven the Elise extensively throughout Europe and used the car as a show car.

August 2026: New clutch slave cylinder, new coolant temperature sensor and replacement gear cable retaining clip

Overall, this is a much-loved, low-mileage Elise with a fascinating ownership history. It has been enjoyed extensively as a show car, winning Best Classic Sports Car at the Chatsworth Classic Car show in 2024, and has also been displayed at the NEC Classic Car Show. I have also toured Europe multiple times in the car, including a trip to Switzerland, without any issues or breakdowns. The car remains completely stock (with the original gear knob included in the sale) and has been maintained regardless of cost.
