2016 Subaru

The S207 represented the pinnacle of Subaru Tecnica International's development of the EJ20-powered WRX STI. Developed using knowledge gained through Subaru's Nürburgring 24 Hour programme, the S207 was produced exclusively for the Japanese market and limited to just 400 examples, making it one of the rarest and most sought after modern STIs.

At its heart is Subaru's legendary 1,994cc EJ20 turbocharged flat-four, developed by STI specifically for the S207. Each engine was carefully balanced before being fitted with a twin-scroll ball bearing turbocharger, revised engine management and STI developed intake components, resulting in 328PS (323bhp) at 7,200rpm and 431Nm of torque. Power is transmitted through a 6-speed manual gearbox and Subaru's renowned symmetrical all-wheel drive system.

The chassis received equally serious attention, with STI tuned Bilstein DampMatic II front suspension combined with revised rear dampers, flexible chassis bracing and strengthened suspension components, whilst an 11:1 quick-ratio steering rack provided sharper steering responses. Active Torque Vectoring and specially calibrated Vehicle Dynamics Control further enhanced the S207's handling, resulting in one of the sharpest and most engaging road-going STIs produced.

Stopping power came courtesy of substantial STI specification Brembo brakes, with 6-pot monoblock front and 4-pot rear calipers gripping drilled discs. Lightweight 19-inch forged BBS alloy wheels completed a package engineered to make the S207 substantially more than simply another limited-edition WRX STI.

Inside, the flagship treatment continued with heated STI Recaro bucket seats trimmed in black semi-aniline leather, dashcam, rear parking camera, exclusive S207 instrumentation and unique detailing throughout. Taking pride of place beside the gear lever is the individually numbered plaque confirming this particular example as #248 of 400.

Imported and registered in November 2026, this S207 is finished in Crystal Black Silica, covering just 29,918km (18,590 miles) from new, exclusively in Japan, with its mileage supported by the accompanying clear CarVX report, available upon request. Its condition is fantastic, having been awarded an excellent Grade 4.5 when inspected at Japanese auction, and it continues to present superbly throughout.

Importantly, the car remains almost entirely true to its factory specification. The only departure from standard is at the rear where the original spoiler has been replaced by a larger, genuine Vertex rear wing, with the car otherwise staying standard throughout.

With just 29,918km from new, an excellent Grade 4.5 Japanese auction assessment, clear CarVX report and superb overall condition, this S207 would make a fantastic addition for any JDM collection or enthusiast.
