First registered on 1st April 1976, this increasingly rare Mk1 Ford Granada 2000 GL is finished in Arizona Gold with a Brown Vinyl roof and matching brown interior. The GL (Grand Luxe) trim was highly regarded for introducing upscale executive elements without the top-tier Ghia price tag

Powered by Ford's 2.0-litre four-cylinder 'Pinto' engine coupled to a four-speed manual gearbox, it represents a distinctive example of Ford's mid-tier executive saloon of the 1970s.

Indicating just 14,600 miles at the time of cataloguing, with a collection of historic MOT certificates dating back to 1985 providing valuable supporting evidence of its limited recorded use. These include readings of 10,201 miles in March 1985, 10,802 miles in March 1988, 11,644 miles in March 1994 and 12,052 miles in May 1999.

With just three former registered keepers and four years of current ownership, the Granada is accompanied by an interesting history file containing period paperwork, including a July 1976 purchase invoice identifying the car as a Granada GL 2000 Manual, together with subsequent invoices and historic MOT certificates.

The accompanying photographs illustrate previous bodywork refurbishment, including preparation for refinishing.
