This is Scarlet. Absolutely gutted to let her go. She’s a rust-free, beautifully presented example of a ’90s analogue sports classic, with the naturally aspirated engine, manual gearbox and T-Bar roof that make these cars so special.

I’m selling because my driving needs have changed and I now need something more practical for regular long-distance journeys and commuting.

The previous owner told me the car spent much of her life stored indoors, with outings to classic car shows. The long time owner was a mechanic and collecter, so carried out much of the maintenance himself, so she comes with partial service history, alongside historical MOT certificates and recent invoices. The moisture-retaining foam was removed before my ownership.I’ve spent over £1, 500 on her this year.

She currently wears genuine Toyota Rev 5 wheels and a (very rare) adjustable rear wing. The original Rev 4 wheels and wing are included, giving the next owner the option of returning to the original appearance. The spare wheels still have their older tyres fitted.

There are two points for prospective buyers to take note of:

The remote fobs and alarm stopped working a couple of months ago, and replacing the fob battery hasn’t resolved this.

Key-operated central locking still works, operating both doors from the driver’s door lock.

There is a timing-belt replacement sticker recording a change at 46, 000 miles,. At the recent service, the mechanic told me he believed the belt had been replaced again since then. I have no paperwork confirming that later replacement.

She runs beautifully, with no smoking that I’ve observed, and sounds fantastic. The interior is equally well cared for, with no cracking in the leather and working cabin controls.The recent professional machine polish and ceramic coating have left the red paintwork looking superb and unfaded.

The genuine Toyota Rev 5 wheels and adjustable rear wing really suit her, while the included original wheels and wing give the next owner a choice of appearance.

During previous ownership, I've been told she was kept indoors and only driven to preserve its condition, and to show off at classic car shows. You can even google the reg to see pics at a show!

During my ownership I’ve used E5 petrol, and she even served as a friend’s wedding car - a particularly special memory.

She’s a real head-turner, and I’d love her to go to someone who will enjoy and look after her as much as I have.
