2004 FORD MONDEO

Solid mechanically and drives really nicely, but cosmetically leaves a bit to be desired when you get up close. There are a couple of early rust bubbles, these have been present since I bought it and have not been getting worse but this has been a second/third car for me and so hasn’t been used when the roads are salted etc. That said, this would ideally be attended to sooner rather than later to prevent it becoming worse.

Part service history. One of the previous owners did not keep any paperwork from their ownership and mine has been a mixture of garage and done myself. Last full service was April last year (invoice present), it had an oil and filter April this year and another recent one in August as I had the sump seal replaced (genuine Ford item, can provide part receipt).

Other work within the last couple of years includes rocker seals, new rear subframe with some associated welding/rustproofing and a new Miltek cat-back which gives a nice burble without being intrusive. Goodyear Eagle F1 all round.

The front brake discs are ready for changing, this came up as an MOT advisory but I was planning to do the ST225 brake upgrade - I have a pair of ST225 calipers and Goodridge brake hoses I can include in the sale at asking price. Rear discs and pads were new last year.

I would love this to go to a good home and someone who is going to bring it up to the standard it deserves. I’m just not using it and have now bought something rare that I couldn’t say no to so unfortunately I think it is time to move it on.
