Background:

The third-generation Range Rover, commonly known by its L322 designation, represented a significant step forward when introduced in 2002. Combining the traditional Range Rover attributes of permanent four-wheel drive, commanding driving position and genuine off-road capability, with increasingly sophisticated levels of comfort and equipment, it firmly established the model as a luxury car in its own right.

The arrival of the 3.6-litre TDV8 in 2006 was particularly significant.
