The RUF RT12 R is an extraordinarily rare creation from RUF Automobile, representing one of the most extreme interpretations of the Porsche 997 platform. Developed in Pfaffenhausen, Germany, the RT12 R combines RUF's extensive motorsport engineering with the performance of its legendary twin-turbocharged flat-six. This particular example is especially significant, being one of just two RT12 R cars reportedly built with rear-wheel drive. Further distinguished by its factory CTR3 engine upgrade, producing an extraordinary 785 PS, it offers a uniquely uncompromising driving experience, with power delivered exclusively to the rear wheels. With no all-wheel-drive system or hybrid assistance, the RT12 R remains a remarkably analogue expression of RUF's engineering.

Finished in Ivory White over a black leather interior with contrasting black and white inserts, this exceptional example has covered just 6,500 kilometres from new. Unlike cars subsequently modified to resemble the CTR3, this example was built by RUF with its distinctive CTR3-inspired front-end design from the factory. It also features a carbon-fibre roof and front bonnet, alongside the extensive CTR3 engine and bodywork upgrades. The combination of its exceptionally rare rear-wheel-drive configuration, factory-built specification and low mileage makes this a particularly significant example of bespoke automotive engineering.
