The Chimaera has covered a very low mileage since being fitted with a brand new, factory-supplied chassis at Barnet's 'TVR Centre' in Hertfordshire. The accompanying invoice shows a cost of £4,500 paid for this procedure and also includes a replacement clutch & flywheel. Since the chassis was replaced the car has been stored in a dry garage and used only in dry conditions therefore, the chassis remains in as-new condition as can be seen from the photos taken on 20/08/14 at MDL Cars, Telford.

The Chimaera benefits from a mammoth service portfolio, comprising a vast array of invoices for works conducted at TVR main dealers & specialists throughout the car's life and which amount to many, many thousands of pounds. Numerous previous MOT certificates are also included.

Overall, the Chimaera is in very good condition throughout. There are some areas which will benefit from minor cosmetic improvement due to age-related wear and tear. The bonnet and nose area suffered very light, cosmetic damage when the previous owner started the car in-gear in his garage. The damage can be easily repaired by a bodyshop and will provide an opportunity to tidy the usual stone chips found on the nose area of these cars at the same time.

In summary, this Chimaera offers a terrific entry into TVR ownership, as the main Achilles heel of these awesome sports cars - rotting/rotten outriggers and chassis - has been replaced at great cost. With routine care the chassis will not require costly repair or replacement again. Elsewhere, the vehicle has been meticulously maintained and enjoys a terrific service history. The car drives and performs superbly, sounds incredible and is ready to be enjoyed 'as-is,' with scope for gradual improvement if desired by its new owner.
