1999 Fiat

I have owned this Coupe since 2008, have driven 53K trouble free miles in it and am only the 3rd owner from new. Only reason for sale is I have an Alfa Spider to restore and cannot keep both. This is a genuine and straight car that you can reliably use every day and that won’t let you down.

The VIS is getting very rare now and although they only have 2/3 of the power of a turbo serve up a really fun drive, they also sound fantastic.

Feb 1999 S plate pre-facelift VIS (without a doubt the rarest of all Coupes)

Got all 3 keys and service books etc., also comes with all bills which are over well over 30mm thick. Serviced by Fiat, PowerItalia or me (qualified Engineer) with bills available.

Serviced on time and to schedule using either genuine or OE parts.

MOT until 30 Mar 2017, never failed an MOT in my ownership.

Bodywork

Original Steel Grey paint from new, car has never been sprayed. No lacquer peel and finish is very shiny although being 17 years old it has a number of marks and stone chips on it. The worst of these being 2 dinks in the usual place in the leading edge of the bonnet (please see photos).

Light cups, Boot floor/seams and sills are totally rust free. Underneath has no dents or rust, the only rust is on the right rear wheel arch with a few bubbles on the other arches but nothing serious

Engine

Oil pressure 3 bar when cold, 2 bar at 750 rpm when fully hot. Normal for a non turbo

New MAF and lambda fitted at circa 80K miles.

Clutch changed under Fiat warranty (paperwork available) at 44481 miles, feels like new still.

Totally standard and last serviced in Feb 2016.

Belts have been changed twice by Roger at PowerItalia (bills available), last changed Aug 2011.

General

Brakes all good, front callipers rebuilt 3 years ago all brakes serviced properly this year and handbrake works effectively. Brake fluid changed 800 miles ago.

New radiator fitted and coolant changed this year, cooling system 100%

New standard exhaust fitted Feb 2016

Headlights refurbed this year, HID’s fitted for a number of years

Gearbox oil changed 800 miles ago.

New battery approx. 12 months ago

Suspension

Everything refurbed or replaced during my tenure, standard shocks and springs.

Interior

More or less unmarked cloth interior with no rips or bolster wear, very tidy

Centre console excellent

Carpets unmarked and clean, original Fiat mats fitted

Interior trim good with only a few marks on driver’s door card through access/egress to car.

No part exchanges or silly offers please.
