1990 Mazda

Up for sale is my very well kept MX-5.

Its had thousands spent on it and drives like no other.

It has been tastefully modified and is now a very fast road car which

is really fun to drive.

As well as this it is rust free and totally solid due to a body restoration in 2013

This included having 2 rear quarter panels fitted and new inner and outer sills

fitted so there is no corrosion to have to battle with and the car is really stunning to look at.I have receipts for £2400 for this work alone and many more receipts for lots of other bits and pieces.

It has been well cared for underneath and has been treated with Dynax.

The interior is pretty standard and very tidy.

It has the origianl double din Jap stereo which in all honesty is'nt the best.

It has a remote alarm system which acts as an immobilizer as well.

Both electric windows work as do all the electrics including the pop up lights.

A brief list of performance enhancing mods are listed below.

Genuine Field Motorsport sports ECU fitted (original Jap part)

4-1 Stainless steel manifold fitted.

Stainless steel de-cat.

Stainless steel cat back exhaust.

Sports suspension (spax)

K and N Air filter.

Modified air flow meter (modified by Rear Axle Divergence)

With the above parts fitted the car has been transformed and it really can accelerate hard.It revs much quicker than a base model and the power seems endless.

I have owned a few of these and also have an R- Limited which is an 1800 and is regarded to be about the quickest however this one eats it alive.

I still have the original ECU which will be included in the sale.

It is an easy job to change if you want the car to be put back to original.

The car handles extremely well and really does stick to the road.

It has a quality set of Bridgestone Turanza tyres fitted to the original Daisy alloy wheels.

I believe Mazda chose Bridgestone as there preferred tyre during production.

The paintwork is very bright and shiny and is a favourite with many enthusiasts as not many were made in this colour known as Mariner blue.

As mentioned i have got stacks of paper work and receipts and the service book is stamped to 109,000 miles. It has recently been serviced again.

So all in all its got good service history.

Not much to improve on really.

Although the hood has some very small splits on the fold lines but is totally water tight and the rear window is still clear.

And in my opinion the stereo could do with upgrading.
