Unfortunately the time has come to sell my Alfa. These are awesome cars and need no introduction. I’ve owned it since 2011 which is the longest I’ve owned a car - these GTAs really get under your skin. It was my daily until recently, but a new job and a long commute means the Alfa isn’t getting used much nowadays. The plan was to keep the GTA, but time and family commitments means I have to bite the bullet and sell.

It had a FULL engine rebuild by Autolusso in 2013 at 99K due to a burnt-out exhaust valve on the rear bank.

There is a big folder of receipts for work done, mainly in my ownership. I’ve detailed some of the recent(ish) work below:

July 2019 New Goodyear rear tyres (Fronts are Goodyear Eagle with plenty of tread)

March 2019 – new front discs and pads 129228 miles

November 2018 – new crank sensor fitted 128904

Feb 2018 – new cam cover gasket 122989

Nov 2017 new front nr side driveshaft 121280

Nov 2017 new cambelt, tensioners, ancillaries and water pump 121076

Sep 2016 New OEM radiator 112627

July 2016 New bottom coolant pipe (the horizontal one) 112254

This a good GTA. It’s no garage queen, but mechanically sound. I’ve listed the “bad points” below:

One of the gear selector connections recently popped off the gearbox as the plastic connector is worn. I’ve cable-tied it back on, its secure and the gear change is fine, but will need a new “top hat” (or cable).

A/C not working

Wheels could do with a refurb

Lacquer is peeling off the front brake calipers.

Driver’s heated seat doesn’t work

Radio reception is patchy (who cares!)
