A8 V8 4.2Tdi - High and very rare spec

What a great car this has been, 40,000 miles in my ownership with almost all of those on motorways with the adaptive cruise set and seats set to massage.... It has taken us effortlessly to Spain, twice and has taken me to work around the country up and down the M4/M5.

Air con blowing arctic cold, heated seats both back and front plus 4 zone climate control ensures that every season is comfortable.

The adaptive air suspension is all working as it should and a recent inspection gave it the all clear (I am used to Land Rover air suspension so I felt it worth a health check!)

Gearbox and diff oils were all replaced properly and thoroughly 30k miles ago - something Audi claims you don't have to do but I wanted to ensure everything was maintained well - gladly there was no metal or sludge on the plugs when oils were replaced.

In addition the glow plugs were tested and all defective plugs were replaced, similarly TPMS sensors in 2018 although unfortunately the one on the spare could do with replacing now.

Very special to this car is the Bang and Olufsen stereo system which was some £4000 extra when this £70k+ was specified - it truly is the best sound system I've heard in a car, and luckily it hasn't been abused with myself and a previous Doctor owner putting most of the miles on - all speakers are 100% and not blowing

A1 services in Stroud have looked after the car for me for the last two years and they are meticulous in their depth and detail - anything needs fixing, they let me know without hesitation.

All in all a beautiful specification and a car that'll easily see double its present mileage with the same maintenance it has enjoyed so far.

Bad points? There is a small scratch on the back bumper that I've yet to get repaired as it happened very recently. There is also an adaptive light motor required for the front right hand side, it is intermittent but really could do with replacing - I am happy to get this done, or it can be used to drop the price (new motor is £160 fitted from my independent).
