Reluctantly I am offering for sale my ultra rare UK supplied E28 M5.

This is believed to be the earliest example still in existence being chassis # 003 of only 187 right hand drive examples built! and in one of the best colour combinations.

The car is totally standard apart from a stainless steel exhaust and slightly lowered suspension (easily reversed).

The car underwent bodywork restoration and a respray about 5 years ago, and had the all important head-off cam chain replacement and head gasket changed 5000 miles ago.

Recent work includes:

New discs and pads all round

New carpet

New starter motor

New dash top

New Windscreen (BMW)

Wheels re-furbished x 5

New Pirelli's fitted all round

Rear lights refurbished

Decent history file including old MOT's and original handbooks.

This is a great usable example of the iconic E28 M5, the M88 24v engine performs well and starts first time. I have shown the car extensively this year and she receives admiring comments wherever I go. Please bare in mind that she is over 30 years old though, and there are a few areas that could be improved on, so if you are looking for a concours example to place mirrors under, then this may not be the car for you! But if it was then the asking price would be much higher!!
