Ford Sierra RS Cosworth 3dr RS500

PPM Milton Keynes are very proud to present this very special car, This Sierra Cosworth RS500 is not just the first RS500 produced but it is also the first of the pre-production prototypes , it is also the only car which was actually produced with the other 499 examples being built by Tickford. 500 units were produced to meet the FIA Group A homologation requirements to allow ford to compete competitively with the Ford Sierra Cosworth.

Reshelled by Ford prior to sale, it was never designed to be a customer car but was released to meet the time scale demands to produce the 500 units, Paul Linfoot (the authority on RS500's) has completed a technical inspection and drafted a report confirming its authenticity. All unique RS500 parts are present on this car. The prototype cars also had a revised and much stronger small core plug engine block fitted.

This is truly a one-off car and to the knowledge of many experts, the only Ford prototype to ever be sold by the company. This car recently featured on the final episode of The Grand Tour and was reviewed by Richard Hammond.

The condition of this RS500 is exceptional and it benefits from an extensive document folder including all of its provenance, Paul Linfoot report, service history, MOT history, countless invoices, ownership history, original handbooks, magazine and magazine covers that the car has featured in etc etc.
