Description
First registered in June 1997, this XJ6 4.0 litre (X300) is probably one of the finest examples of this model available for sale today. Having been supplied to Japan from new it has only covered 36,000 gentle miles (in Japan you cant go fast and you cant go too far!). The Japanese Vehicle Export Inspection Centre mileage verification certificate is with this car. Upon re-import into the UK in 2018 it was immediately issued with a new MoT and passed with no Advisories. This example is finished in gleaming Sherwood Green metallic. We supplied this car to its last local keeper in January this year, who has large fleet of Jaguars, something else has recently caught his eye in our showroom, so, transaction agreed we are delighted to be offering this superb example once again. The Jaguar XJ (X300) was manufactured by Jaguar between 1994 and 1997. It was the first XJ produced entirely under Ford ownership who placed emphasis on improved build quality and improved reliability. The Jaguar AJ16 engine in 3.2 Litre and 4.0 litre guises were available in various X300 models, although they received significant updates and both engines were fitted with distributor-less electronic engine management systems. The 4.0 Litre car in automatic guise features an electronically controlled ZF 4HP-24 (Four Speed) gearbox. It is to be remembered that a Jaguar motor car in Japan is a huge status symbol and you have to be very wealthy to buy one. It is also deemed unacceptable in Japan to be seen driving a dirty or damaged car hence the immaculate condition of this Time Warp car. It is faultless to drive a truly lovely Jaguar motor car.
