Description

High Spec Fisher Fury built around a new RGB race chassis and lightweight 2 piece fully removable bodywork. This build was carried out by Steve Hughes of FurySportsCars in 2011.
This 2011 lightweight race chassis (the car weighs 450 kg) has the following mechanical Spec:
Built with reconditioned parts around a new 2011 chassis and body.
Yamaha R1 engine and sequential gearbox.
Fully rose jointed suspension, Independent at the rear and inboard springs at the front
Freelander differential with Quaife limited slip ATB (just rebuilt in June)
Adjustable Protech shock absorbers
Highspec brakes (pads just replaced)
Acusump,
Water/Oil inter cooler
Adjustable front anti-roll bar
Brake bias valve (both the anti-roll bar and brake bias can be adjusted in the cabin, while driving)
Braced race spec roll cage (fully padded)
Full length aluminium (removalable) flat floor panels
Carbon fibre rear diffuser
Large 6” diameter, 26’ long custom made silencer just fitted
Custom induction allowing the air filter to be fully enclosed under the bonnet
Interior and Electronics Spec:
Very high spec with full Carbon interior panels
Removalable suede steering wheel
PowerCommander
Digidash 2 Dash and Datalogger
Infrared timing beacon receiver
GPS track timer
Geartronix gear indicator
Mechanical Paddle shifters on steering wheel
Built in fire extinguisher (cockpit and engine bay)
Cutoff Switch (new)
Originally fitted with a single Tillet low back drivers seat and 6 point harness, this year I have converted it to a two seater configuration with a couple of Caterham high back Tillet seats and passenger 6 point harness
Trackday Noise:
With it’s full enclosed induction and new custom built large silencer this Fury just registering 94db static at a Bedford Autodrome trackday (15th July 2017, limit is 101db) where I used it on a full day without any noise issues. As trackday regulars will know Bedford is a very noise sensitive venue so this car will pass noise tests on virtually all UK tracks making it very usable as bike engine trackday toy.
Bodywork and Electrics Spec:
The two piece lightweight race specification fully removable bodywork has been converted to have a forward hinging bonnet for ease of access on trackdays.
This Fury was built to Road Going Bike (RGB) racer spec and as such has all major features required to make it road legal (it has all lights, horn, indicators, fog lights, electric reverse, electronic speedo etc). It has not yet been registered though.
Maintenance:
This Fury was given a full inspection and service 3 trackways ago by Steve Hughes at FurySportsCars and given a clean bill of health (Steve can confirm)
I have just changed the brake pads and the Quaife ATB has just been rebuilt by Quaife themselves
While this high spec Fury has never been road registered I’ve been told by FurySportsCars that it could be road register for approximately £1K (less if the new owner prepares it themselves).
This really is a very high spec, well built and maintained Fury which has had light use since 2011. It is ready to enjoy as a very fast, nimble and sweet handling twin seat trackday car or it can be registered for the road.
In the interests of transparency I will point out while the car is very high spec and good condition the only real negative point is the bonnet which could do with some TLC, being the very lightweight race version it does have some fiberglass star cracking and stone chips, but this could easily be repaired with a little extra fiberglass or indeed a sturdier road car bonnet would be a straight swap and can be supplied by FurySportsCars
I also have a covered, 4 wheel braked trailer with tie down straps and a winch for sale for this Fury, at and additional £1,250.
