Bramley are once again delighted to be able to offer for sale an ex Royal Household car with an interesting history.OU16XVH was first registered on the 1st of March 2016 to Jaguar Land Rover Ltd, at their International Fleet Department, as so many vehicles are.This vehicle made a very high profile appearance during President Obama's state visit to the United Kingdom in 2016.On the 22nd of April 2016, Prince Philip, who was accompanied by Her Majesty The Queen, drove it to meet President Obama and the First Lady as they stepped off Marine One after it landed in the grounds of Windsor Castle.It is perhaps one of the few occasions that President Obama would have travelled in a vehicle, other than one of his heavily armoured Presidential limousines.Once the Queen and Prince Philip had welcomed the President and First Lady to Windsor, Prince Philip then drove them to Windsor Castle.It was prepared by the Land Rover Workshop at Gaydon and would have been equipped with covert lighting and police emergency lighting, along with specially adapted fixed side steps - which are not available for general sale as they have not been homologated and additional grab handles to the rear passenger compartment to enable Her Majesty The Queen to be able to access the rear passenger compartment more comfortably. The rear entertainment screens were also removed prior to the car being handed over to the Royal Household and were refitted once the vehicle had been removed from service.These items have since been removed following the vehicle being taken out of Royal Service.
