Lotus Esprit Turbo

Lotus Esprit Turbo from 1988 in excellent condition. 85k miles. MOT until November 2017. Paperwork shows £10k spent over the last 18 months, the car is now very well sorted mechanically and drives as it should, with all the work carried out by Lotus specialists Lakeside Engineering. I absolutely love driving this car now, it's extremely quick and handles perfectly, the sound is awesome and driving around Surrey it gets plenty of attention.

Work over the last 18 months includes -

Full C service including cam belt and other belts.

Fitted new stainless fuel tanks, both sides.

New clutch slave cylinder.

Overhauled clutch master cylinder.

Overhauled carburetors.

New distributor.

New brake pipes.

Overhauled brakes.

New water pump.

New fuel pump.

New tailgate gas struts.

New headlamp motor control unit and overhauled motors.

New trim headlining and sun visors.

New oil filter.

New air filter.

Overhauled aircon.

New rear tyres.

New (original) steering wheel and centre pad.

In 2009 the following work was completed at South West Lotus Centre -

New Exhaust manifold.

New clutch.

New disc brakes and callipers all round.

New Esprit S4 wheels.

Various other jobs.

The paintwork and interior was going to be my next job but i have to move on. The paint is good but showing age in a few spots. The leather seats are showing their age and could do with a retrim. The cabin carpet is good, the boot carpet is a bit tatty and could do with replacing, the headlining and visors have just been retrimmed. The driver side window lift motor isn’t working.

I have almost every MOT certificate and a large folder of paperwork that shows the car's history in detail.

The odometer was changed in 2009 when the paperwork shows just over 60,000 miles, and now shows 25k miles, so the car has done 85,000 miles.
