The Peterson Exige - LOTUS EXIGE S - PP 2009

This car started life as a one off Type 72 themed car based on a 240PP with sports, performance and touring packs. Designed by Lotus with a view to promoting a run of Peterson tribute cars. I have a letter from James Haskey , UK territory sales manager, confirming as much. Rumour has it that the Peterson family wouldn't give permission for the run of cars to take place , and this car remains a one off. The following year a short production of Type 72 cars took place.

This car has the name Peterson written on the body parts and build sheet.

The gold piping is gold leaf, not paint and reputedly took 4 days to do!

I've owned the car from new.

The car retains it's original charm but is heavily modified.

It would seem £34k is about the right price for an unmolested car.

There are about £20k of extras on this car . ( For 'about', read 'more than').

Rather than take the majority of the bits off, I'd rather dip my toe in the water and see if someone will take it as is for what is essentially a £3k premium.

It does go extremely well
