I decided to have the whole car painted, not because of corrosion (unusually for a mk1 there wasn't any), but because a number of panels had marks and scratches that would not polish out. Given the mechanical condition, history, and mileage of the car, I wanted the bodywork to match. Pictures of the car car before and during restoration are available.

The car is one of the very last mk1's, in 1.8iS form (130bhp), meaning it has ABS, Drivers Air Bag, Electric Windows, Electric Antenna, Leather seats, Stainless Steel kick plates.

Just been completed by Auto Curators of Hampshire and sealed up with a kamikaze wax.

Sailed through MOT 30-4-2018. New Discs and pads being fitted next week
