The exterior is painted in Fish Silver Grey and is complemented with an impeccable Barber Pole Red Leather interior.,We understand from the previous owner who commissioned Rod Emory to build this car for him. This 1960 356B roadster was to be built to his specification back in 2009. We understand the car was purchased through Rod Emory who at the time had a car in his workshop that belonged to a friend and was for sale. The 1960 Porsche 356B roadster (Originally a California delivered car) was purchased for $59000., We have photographs of the car at Rod Emorys shop in Oregon when it was first commissioned. The mileage of the car at the point of purchase is unknown. We have detailed e-mails back and forth between the previous owner and Rod Emory discussing the build from start to finish and was carried out over a two year period., The car was imported into the UK in October 2012 and then UK registered. We have the first MOT in 2012 showing 160 miles on the speedometer with the car currently showing 1157 miles on the clock. The matching engine was re-built whilst the car was in the UK by a well-respected Porsche specialist and installed back into the car in July 2018., The matching engine that has now been installed in the car as per the Supplied Porsche Certificate of Authenticity and has covered just under 100 miles since it was rebuilt. We understand from the current owner the total cost of the build including the purchase of the car was in access $225000 in the 2009- 2012 period., The fit and finish of this car in our opinion is one of the best we have seen and is the reason why Rod Emory is as successful as he is today. This is an early Emory car and as you will see from the e-mails it is the current owner who was dealing directly with Rod himself, not as it is today, one of his staff., In 2018 Emory Motorsports are based in North Hollywood, CA and they built around 6-7 cars a year with the cost of a build being $400,000+ depending on specification. Some of the options that have been fitted to this Emory car are the, louvered rear deck lid, Nardi Steering wheel, GT style side mirrors, Continental bench seat, 904 combo gauge, Fuel safe tank (Bonnet filler cap), GT bumpers, upgraded suspension, Lightweight Alloy wheels, Leather bonnet straps, hood handle delete and many minor modifications., The car is in fact supplied with two engines, the installed engine is the original matching numbers 356 engine, however alongside this we have the Rod Emory 907 engine, modified and ready to be dropped straight into the car if you so wish.
