CSC are priviledged to offer, on behalf of the car’s owner, a one-off opportunity to purchase this virtually brand new 2005 Clio V6 which has been part of a private collection from first registration.

Residing in long term climate controlled storage since 2005, this beautiful example has only been out on the road on around 4 occasions, each time to be serviced and MOT’d by the local Renault Dealership. The car has now covered a total of just 479 miles and has now been freshly serviced and MOT’d once again by Renault prior to being offered for sale by its private owner & collector through ourselves at CSC.

The Renault Sport Clio V6 is a rear/mid-engined, rear wheel drive hot-hatch based on the Mk2 Renault Clio launched in 2001 and is conceptually reminiscent of the 1980’s rally legend, the Renault 5 Turbo.

The original V6 phase 1 cars launched in 2001 were built by Tom Walkinshaw Racing (TWR) and produced 230bhp from the 3.0 V6 sourced from the Renault Laguna of the time.

With the revised face-lift of the Clio range in 2003, the phase 2 cars such as this example were launched. These later cars were hand built by Renault Sport in Dieppe and featured updated styling, a revised chassis to improve handling and a more powerful ‘Porsche Tweaked’ version of Renaults V6 engine producing 255bhp.

The Clio V6 came with a good level of standard equipment which included Automatic Windscreen Wipers, Automatic Xenon Headlights, Auto Climate control with Air Conditioning and a CD Multi-changer.

According to Renaults figures, a total of 2,822 Clio V6’s were built, 1,309 of which were the later phase 2 255bhp model.

A total of 610 Clio V6’s came to the UK, of which 354 were the later model.

Just 74 of these UK cars were supplied in Black Gold metallic.

This ultra-low mileage example, number 341, is as close to a new Clio V6 as you are likely to find. Not only has the car covered little more than delivery mileage, the keys still retain the dealership tag, the ‘fitted’ carpets are yet to be fitted, the re-fuel instruction sticker is still in place on the side window above the filler cap and the factory protective plastic covering on the alloy foot pedals is still in place. The original dealer supplied registration plates are with the car but have yet to be fitted and still retain their protective peel off covering.

HISTORY:

The car was registered new on 21st November 2005 at Camden Renault in Milton Keynes to the current owner. The car was put straight into climate controlled storage as part of the owner’s private collection. The car was used very lightly on occasion until 2009 whence the car remained in storage until being recommissioned by Renault in June 2018.
