TVR Chimaera Turbo - 417bhp
After owning this car for 12 years now I am tentatively putting it up for sale due lack of use over the last few years coupled with a recent loss of garage space.
I can honestly say that this will be one of the best prepared and special Chimaeras on the market, and with 417bhp and 450ft/lb torque is an absolute hoot to drive. Obviously it will not be to everyone's taste, but all of the modifications have all been well thought out and executed, and are easily reversed if desired. I am happy to help with this for the new owner if required (even the bonnet wastegate pipe).
I have had the car on a local weighbridge at 1040kg, giving almost exactly 400bhp/ton!
Engine

-T5 Gearbox with regular oil changes throughout my ownership
-MCLeod twin plate clutch rated to 800bhp
-3.08 differential built my Grantura Engineering for better cruising and softer power delivery
-Differential polybushes
-Dave Mac driveshafts with lifetime guarantee
Brakes
-Calipers recently rebuilt by Bigg Red
-283mm Cosworth front upgrade
-Discs and pads almost as new

Wheels
-16" and 17" staggered set of Japan Racing JR3 wheels in fantastic condition
-Federal RSR Road legal trackday tyres with loads of life left
Suspension
-Recently refurbished rear wishbones with polybushes
-Grantura Engineering front tubular wishbones just fitted along with new bushes
-Nitron Racing Red shock absorbers
-Full geometry setup a couple of months back by Mat Smith Sports Cars
Chassis
-Replaced in 2004 and since then kept close to pristine condition. There is no waxoil or any other gloop to cover any horrors, it's totally rust free and cleaned regularly
-I have access to a 2 post ramp at work and am happy for any inspection. You will struggle to find a cleaner one!
Interior
-Cobra 7 bucket seats (drivers has a small tear in bolster
-Black carpets with tan piping

-Custom machine turned stainless dash with boost gauge and air fuel ratio

I'm sure that there are plenty of things that I have forgotten to mention. I have a flight case (no exaggeration!) full of parts receipts, service history and documentation on the car. The mileage may turn off some people but as mentioned the engine is strong with no issues, makes great power and uses no fluids, and the rest of the car has had so much work done the condition speaks for itself.
This car has been my pride and joy for over a decade, but over the last couple of years I have only managed around 1500 miles per year, and with a new house with loss of garage it seems the right time to end my time with it.
If you have any questions please feel free to ask. I have the original cat Y-piece and the car has been built so that turning it back to naturally aspirated is not a huge job if you so wish.
I will be getting a fresh MOT in the next couple of weeks (I am currently self isolating due to being out of the country over winter)
