1989 TVR

A belter from Blackpool!!! This 1989 400SX is one of two made by the Northern TVR Centre (Haughins), built from a Tasmin 350 direct from the factory. Having 4 previous owners and a modest 7500 miles since its repatriation from Australia, this example is stunning. It’s appearance is in keeping with it’s power, awesome! It was exported to Australia in 1999 until 2008. It was never registered in Australia so it sat in a garage. All the export/import papers are with the impressive history file.

This vehicle is well known in the TVR world as you would expect. The original wheels are available as part of the sale. The TVR has been mechanically & bodily rebuilt as and when necessary including a full respray in pearl, new supercharger,gearbox rebuild, suspension etc….

What’s it like on the road i hear you ask? it’s like a Peperami, a bit of an animal! Obviously can be tamed with your right foot to keep your licence/clean seats…. But what a car, the handling is truly superb, the brakes pull the powerful V8 into line very well. Non standard exhaust is, well, loud with pops and bangs on the overrun.

This vehicle would be ideal as a weekend track toy as well as a touring car to the Alps.
