YouTuber's phone thrown in hedge by Fireman
Discussion
I don't know what to make of this one:
https://www.edp24.co.uk/news/23603712.norfolk-fire...
I can understand the frustration of Emergency Service workers with members of the public seemingly filming everything they do on the scene of an incident and possibly getting in the way or putting themselves at risk.
Interesting that the 'victim' claims he's "press", presumably because he posts on YouTube.
What's the likely outcome for the Fireman, if found to be in the wrong, both from the internal Fire Service investigation and any possible Police investigation?

Bloke complaining sounds like a right helmet though. Not sure on his stance of being freelance journalist/photographer. Just sounds like an annoying prick...oh hang on

Don’t you need to intend to keep it? I’d have thought possibly criminal damage &/or some sort of trifling assault type charge.Would they be in the clear if they waited for the police and said we had an altercation and I threw his phone over the fence, who knows where it landed? Not my problem.
It's what happens when two t
ts meet, although if the guy was on a path 100m from the fire I'd suggest he isn't really doing anything wrong
I can understand why emergency services get frustrated when they're trying to save lives and others are filming for entertainment but I suspect that's a daily occurance - indeed there are many TV programmes based upon it

No because for robbery there has to be a theft and the threat of or use of force is immediately before or at the time of the act of theftEdited by pavarotti1980 on Thursday 22 June 10:45
