Under the speed limit but guilty of excessive speed

Doing 28 in a 30. Child walks out on to a crossing when the lights were green for cars. No criminal conviction but the judge declares that the driver was driving too fast whilst the parent chase for compensation.

Seems like the judge is a member of brake.

This is a civil case.

As we all know, just because it's legal doesn't mean its sensible.
