Can I park here?

Feel slightly embarrassed that I don’t know the answer, but I’m on holiday in Newquay at the moment and here is the road in question:

Can I park on the single yellow line outside those houses? I can’t see any restriction signs on that side of the road, only the ‘No waiting’ restriction on the other side which I guess relates to the double yellows on that side.

Can anyone offer any advice?

One stretch of single line has a dropped kerb, the other stretch is opposite an entrance (to a car park, incidentally). So for those reasons, I would not.

Very common sign all over Cornwall covering the holiday months.
There isn't one on the bit in your pic although there is one just round the corner on the scaffolding.

Thanks for the replies - I’m glad it wasn’t just me confused.

As for the sign on the scaffolding, I noticed that but it is also right next to double yellows and is again ‘no waiting’.

I’ve decided to risk it - I’ll be back for help with an appeal if I get a ticket!
