Ummm, anyone drive the A14 between Cambridge and Huntingdon today? Plod have a huge presence there, specifically between the Oakington and Swavesey junctions. There are:- i) What look like 4 radar detectors and one camera, on the Oakington bridge, looking at traffic westbound. There're three plod vehicles parked on the bridge itself, wired up to all that paraphanalia. ii) About two or three marked cars parked by the side of the road (westbound only) that seem to be doing "circuits and bumps" between Swavesey and Oakington occasionally. Oh, a couple of bikes too. iii) Tons of plod, a couple of cars, one van and a double decker bus (!) at the Swavesey services. So, the question is, what on earth are they up to? More to the point, given how many bodies and vehicles there are around, and how long they've been there, how much damn money is this costing? Answers on a speeding ticket... Yeah, but employee at the services told me they'd been seen bringing cars in. Odd.

Yeh, what going on, there were three of them lined up on the M3/M25 juntion with a landy flying down the same way. Then there were about 8 of them on the way into Bracknall with a few cars and a Maria!! Bit strange i thought?
