I think it's a worrying precident
The road in question is mainly dual carriageway and was NSL in large parts, now 50 all the way

Seems another improvement that makes thinks worse
Coming to a road near you!

Stanningley Bypass has a horrendous accident record. Anything that helps reduce that is fine with me.The road in question is mainly dual carriageway and was NSL in large parts, now 50 all the way

“Alongside our Leeds Vision Zero 2040 Strategy, the West Yorkshire Safety Camera Partnership’s new strategic approach to enforcement, signage and speed management allows us to ensure that our neighbourhoods and roads in Leeds are safe for all.
We have a bold ambition of having zero deaths on Leeds roads by 2040 and the new strategy sets out a flexible, clear and consistent approach to managing speed and safety."
To achieve anything close to zero deaths, vehicle speeds will need to come right down. These strictly controlled lower limits are only an initial step in that direction. Expect far more stringent controls to follow.“Alongside our Leeds Vision Zero 2040 Strategy, the West Yorkshire Safety Camera Partnership’s new strategic approach to enforcement, signage and speed management allows us to ensure that our neighbourhoods and roads in Leeds are safe for all.

I'm noticing more and more roads with reduced speed limits with no warning

The anti-car movement has made some big gains recently across the UK. This is just more of the same.I'm noticing more and more roads with reduced speed limits with no warning
With my safety eyes sharply focused, road in the photo below looks ideal for a 30 mph limit. In Wales, it could be candidate for 20 mph restriction.
We are in a race to the bottom, challenged by how slow can you go ?

Was NSL dual carriageway forever then got resurfaced last year and is now 50mph.
Only the average speed along there is still 60-70, many do motorway speeds still. Its only a matter of time before they put a stop to that.

Do you feel putting a stop to that is the correct policy? If so, why?Was NSL dual carriageway forever then got resurfaced last year and is now 50mph.

That's when you realize he is making the road safer, and you will be conscripted to a course of re-education or a court throwing fairness in bin while finding the circumstances and dangers of the safety operator fully acceptable.

Changed with signs overnight? or the feckers have a faster road reduced without signs immediately before say, a dual carriageway so you accelerate keeping left with it a clearly divided multi lane DC and forget last sign some time before say lights was a 30?Seen a few of them and tbh I am considering an elaborate plan to put my v5 at an address and name I cannot be traced at while also wearing a face mask while driving to mess their safety van conscription up entirely. four friends and an employee I don't even know got done by this on same road and i think some time ago someone even complained on here.

Your going along safely with attention fully on road ahead and an idiot is pointing something at you before your fixated exclusively on speedo and braking as speed drops resulting in vehicle dangerously going along without a driver observing road with rear end likelihood wildly increased due to following vehicle doing same and its a competition between braking efforts and distance you don't want to win if your in front.
That's when you realize he is making the road safer, and you will be conscripted to a course of re-education or a court throwing fairness in bin while finding the circumstances and dangers of the safety operator fully acceptable.
In the quest for ultimate safety, all speed limits must reduced to an absolute crawl. That's when you realize he is making the road safer, and you will be conscripted to a course of re-education or a court throwing fairness in bin while finding the circumstances and dangers of the safety operator fully acceptable.
Slower is always safer...
You know it stands to reason
