Chippenham in the news once again for all the wrong reasons. It's a mad place for a car meet up as there is only one way in and out of the estate onto a roundabout, easy to blockade the estate whilst every single one of their vehicles are scrutinised. Police seem to tolerate them meeting up here though from time to time, maybe for this reason

How do they proof it was actually you driving and not a prank?

I think if you had a good enough lawyer you could get away with this lightly.

The Police have some witnesses who observed him driving at speed on the M4 to back up the prosecution and will have footage of the car at the meet earlier. The driver is evidently not the brightest tool in the box as posting the video on social media really does not help his case. It's an interesting point though, if you were to fake up a video of a car doing 180 down the motorway and splatter it all over social media it would be rather embarrassing when the arrest takes place.

Nick him for dangerous driving and issue him a NIP in interview and let him decide whether or not he wants to drop himself in it and possibly get a lesser sentence or hope the cops can't evidence the driving offences off the footage alone.

If the footage alone is the only evidence that exists....

I'm sure the full video probably shows the driver grinning like a idiot whilst committing the offence and even if it doesn't I would bet the farm that messages exist on his phone telling his mates how much of a legend he is.

Before social media this would have been a mythical exploite spoken about at car meets all around the country by people saying they were present/the driver/overtaking in their Saxo VTR (which gapz Impreza Turboz m8).

We got up to all sorts of stupid things growing up but we weren't filming anything on our Nokia 3210's so 99% of the time we got away with it - now people do the Polices job for them

If defies belief, how can anyone be so stupid.
Not the speeding itself, but filming it, posting it and doing it on a road with witnesses.
I'm sure he'll have a month or two to consider things...
