Hello All

As you know I always buy random bikes etc off marketplace.........it's an addiction.

Anyway I just bought a road legal 2007 Yamaha Raptor 700r. - The previous owner was not a chav believe it or not and neither am I, I just like quads etc. Anyway......

My question is

There is no model on the V5
Body type - Light 4x4 utility..........Its a RWD quad
Type approval - Exempt - What does this mean?

I have the letter from Yamaha confirming the VIN/MAKE/MODEL/Engine code and the DVLA letter from it being registered.

I have the documents for it and

Thanks in advance all.

I would say its an import, that's usually the reason for a lack of details on V5 & the fact its an 05 plate and the date of first registration is listed as 2021.

EDIT: I'd remove the image or certainly blank out the doc reference number as somebody could use that to apply for another V5.

This can definitely happen. I bought an import of the first owner and noticed that the car was registered a Blue, instead of the actual colour on the logbook. The seller had never noticed the error.

Clearly a lot of blue cars came off the same boat.
