Gipsies Just Arrived

A load moved onto the field just up the road from me last year, the social club which is situated by the field, was immediately emptied of all booze and valuables by the people who run it and the defibrillator was removed from the outside wall.
I started locking my outhouse shed thing which I'd never done before and being wary of leaving the dogs alone!
TBF they didn't cause any issues, were soon moved on and didn't leave a mess.
It was quite random though, early morning before work, walking the dog still in that area seeing orange woman and girls in their Pj's, sitting round camping tables out in the open having their breakfast.

There was/is a redundant Scottish Power site located next to my office. No building just empty ground.
Well secured or so I thought.
Padlock broken and in moved a number of caravans. The kids thought it would be fun to lob bricks over the chainlink fence into our car park and onto our cars.
Luckily mine not near the fence.
They stayed a week, moved on and left a mess.

There’s a field opposite our house apparently still owned by the developer (it’s a new build). About 20 gypsy caravans arrived about an hour ago.

They spent nearly an hour checking my son's car while when there were visitors up the road.
According to Facebook, there were plenty of calls for attendance, but they were all told that there were no poilce available, unless it kicked off.

How did they react to being asked why they weren't chasing gypsies instead?I suspect that he'd have said something that would have required his dad to bail him out

Friend (farmer) had quad-bike stolen. He could see it in the gypsy encampment.
Advised the police, they told just to claim on his insurance.
He took this up a level and was informed that the police would have to organise a lot of manpower to ‘investigate’ and recover. Especially as gypsies might be armed.
My friend said well I’ll go in then with friends, its my vehicle I’ll get it. Shotguns were mentioned.
I’m sorry but we would have to arrest you for breach of the peace.
He said the Sergeant was very apologetic and said I won’t make a note of shotguns comment Sir.
We had them on a local playground back when I was a kid in the ‘80s. After they left we found three dead greyhounds in a bin bag!
