I saw this pickup with blue lights back and front. Had black tinted windows. This was a semi rural location but would it have been legit?

I didn't have time to get the reg.

Just surprised full black out windows. That can't be legal.

It had blue lights front and back.

Agreed. I live very rural and the Police are always knocking about looking for lampers / poaches / illegal shoots etc.

They’ve been using unmarked pick-ups for years round here.

A cannabis farm was found when N.Wales Rural Crime Unit were looking for badly-kept dogs. Y Llinell Las (The Blue Line) is always a good watch on S4C.

Yup, we have a big black Ford Ranger that shows up around here (East Cambs), hidden blues front and back. Local rural crime action team (RCAT) use it for monitoring/catching hare coarsers.

Strange thing is they called us to tell us they were in the area once, presumably so we didn’t call them in as suspected 3.142keys!

Yep. Could sometimes be a Walt ( as PH like to say, presumably from Walter Mitty.). Also Private security operatives and even retail park guards like to dress up as police-like.

My favourite ones are those who like to buy Volvo estates and drive around in their high vis jackets, i'm sure it's a coincidence they always forget to take their high vis off before they get in the car though or they are just cold

Black tinted windows seems out of character for an unmarked vehicle?
