Eg could it be from midnight, so you come out at 7am tomorrow to go to work but could potentially have a ticket? (And would it run to Saturday midnight?)

It says from and doesn't say inclusive so it may mean 24 hours of Friday.

I would interpret that as all of Thursday, all of Friday and all of Saturday. Also, as it's a local authority you're usually right if you assume the worst case scenario.

Hmm, I would interpret that as all of Thursday and all of Friday. Which would mean I'd probaby get a ticket on the Saturday.

If the date is the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th of October then you can't park.

If they were finished, wouldn't the sign come down? So if it's still up on Saturday, don't park there, if it's not, fine to park. I'd interpret it as all of Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

They say that "Night follows day" so does "Midnight on Thursday" mean 00:00 on Wednesday night or 00:00 on Thursday night or is it Friday morning?

Thu 02 Oct '25
Can we assume that this means 00:01 on Thursday?

Sat 04 Oct '25
Can we assume then that this means 00:01 on Saturday?

You all know very well no matter how you define it the days & dates are stated so if you are going to park there and your calendar on your phone states that it is one of those day/dates then you will expect to get a ticket no matter the actual time on the clock.

Be as pedantic as you like WRT how you define a day, the facts aren't changed by the definition.

I think you would have to assume Saturday 04th 23:59

Generally people avoid 00:00 with a date to avoid confusion, so 02 at 00:01 until 04 at 23:59

Did you really expect there would be traffic wardens out before then?

Just because there haven't been cars ticketed I wouldn't take as confirmation one way or another.

Indeed, they have simply posted the maximum estimated time they need for the work/operation involved.
