Spain (Menorca) Hire Car parking ticket

I managed to obtain an €80 parking fine shortly before returning the hire car to the airport on my way back home yesterday (so no time to deal with it.)

I ve also managed to lose the ticket that was stuck under the wiper

I m a bit concerned the rental company (Europcar) is going to deal with it on my behalf at some stage when/if they get a chaser and charge it plus a ridiculous admin fee to my credit card.

Can they do that automatically? And should I be worried about this parking ticket?! Have no real way forward not having the ticket in my hand anymore ..

Assuming you have the rental agreement with the VRM then you might have a couple of options to trace the ticket;

Gesthispania appear to administer their fines so it might be worth dropping both parties an email to explain your position and see what they suggest.

I have lots of rental experience but none with Europcar so do not know how they work from the inside. I would anticipate that they would just settle the fine and cross-charge it to your deposit holding card which is how many do it. But, as I say, no experience of how this brand work it with the lessee.
