well i didn't but i know someone who knows someone who says they did see it
although i don't think there were 4 of them, i think it was 3, and i don't think they were from london, i think it was liverpool, and i don't think it was 17 tickets i think it was just 12
there is a yaris or aygo with a telescopic pole and camera on roof often parked on double yellows whilst giving out tickets for illegal right turns. I see it parked there quite a lot often with driver been asleep or playing with his phone. local paper did an article on it last week as someone finally realised that to give out tickets whilst parked on double yellows is a little rich.this is in hackney London.

Our local ones were fans of that too..[quote=Who me ?]Being a bit pedantic, I notice that to the front it's as said single yellow, whilst at the rear it's double yellow. No sign of the join ,or whether it complies with TSRGD, to make the yellows of any multiple legal and enforceable.

No sign of join? What, except the t bar two foot behind the yaris?

Why would you go to the trouble of stealing number plates when you could just have some made up for a few quid off ebay or any number of show plate sites?...
probably because the van that you are trying to screw by driving through its own speedtrap might well have moved by the time those plates became available ...ging84 said:

Just a fair story. But I wonder if anyone has actualy got revenge on a scamera van? I can think of numerous dasterly deeds that could be performed !!!!!
Yep, I've got revenge on 'em. I've always seen 'em in enough time to not get nicked by 'em. That teaches the buggers a lesson!robinessex said:

I lived across the road from a scamera van hotspot for a few months. The guy across the street, whose house the van usually parked in front of, occasionally wheeled out his LDV box van and parked it directly in front of the speed camera. The scamera van would usually leave after a few minutes, upon which he'd either roll it back onto his driveway or park it where the camera van was parked. Only happened half a dozen times or so (assumedly because someone he knew was driving that way) but it made me chuckle whenever I heard that rattly old van fire up.sebhaque said:

Weird, so do you and your neighbour want speeding motorists past his house then?I see no reason to complain about drivers doing up to 60mph in a 40mph zone. It's two lanes in both directions, with very clear visibility. While I wouldn't want cars doing burnouts outside my house, what does it really matter if cars are doing a little over the speed limit on a road that has huge visibility and is safe to do probably double the speed limit on? Maybe you should register with the Guardian if you think that speed limits are the be all and end all. Funnily enough the little backroad that's half a mile from where I used to live is an NSL. Please go ahead and try to keep to 60mph for the duration of the road as it's the speed limit. Don't be afraid to think.
