Hmm what does PH make of this.

Car was blocking me from going down inside lane. ok not in a hurry but then cars in front of him move he doesnt. hes looking down to his left perhaps texting or whatever.

so i use the horn to let him know cars have moved and he can proceed. he then maliciously blocks me then runs the red light. you can even see one car has crossed in front already of him.

my fault for using horn? does that excuse his actions even if i was in the wrong it was not meant as a rebuke just to let him know traffic was moving

the sort of guys that deliberately blocks people who dare to warn him is a prick imo.

edit this was earlier today date stamp wrong on camera.

Shame the light wasn't on "yellow" really.

wink

Honking probably wasn't ideal, but that doesn't take away from some catastrophic driving by the Citroen there.

To be fair to the river that crossed in front of the C5, they were turning right and the gap be big enough.

Probably not ideal no but i don't know another way to let a car know traffic is moving. he was distracted up until then slowing and speeding up. fiddling with something low and left.

he looks to have thought about stopping when he saw it was red then went anyway.

absolutely, no fault there. the problem was the light was red when c5 went through. when turning right there you know the lights are going to change as traffic slows they must have though they were about to change which is correct they did. often cars turn right there a little early.

Can see your frustration but don't forget camera records your actions as well.

Two things i'd pick up on, incorrect use of the horn and your comment about the other driver.
Being able to remain calm is a very undervalued skill.

For what it's worth, I don't think he was deliberately blocking you, looks to me just changed his mind. No excuse for crossing on red though.

He heard the coldplay you were listening to and it made him angry? might explain his actions?

A stranger in town, checking a map, needing a bit of patience, unsure which lane he needed he drove defensively, harassed and distracted by an aggressive impatient driver, he slightly jumped a light.

Crikey, if this is playing on your mind, how do you sleep at night?

Indeed no harm done, relax and get rid of the dash cam because it will only wind you up more re-watching it and subject us to another 'dash cam thread'...

The beep probably wound him up !!!! what a load of bks. He was simply acting like a cock. I've been distracted before at lights, and as soon as some-one beeps you quickly gather your thoughts, move on and in my case anyway, usually a quick wave to acknowledge I was a little slow.OP, you did nothing wrong at all. But as others have said, just move on.

massive amount of jumping to conclusions going on here
reading the description i was expecting some quite obvious deliberate blocking by someone who was clearly holding up traffic
All i see is a car dithering and getting in the wrong lane, like i see a hundred times a week, i suspect i'd see it a lot more often if i were to panic nervous drivers by getting on the horn less than 2 seconds after the car in front moves on and they haven't.

You were never going to make that light anyway

i was exposed to that too because i had to put the sound on to figure out where the hell he had a chance to actually beep
Maybe it's listening to that dismal music that has made the OP so paranoid

You could have at least warned everybody that there was a Coldplay song playing in the clip.

Those with dashcams are itching to upload anything to have a moan. If this had not been on camera, OP would never ever have thought about it again. It is like walking round a puddle. Do you remember the last time you walked around a puddle? Probably not. If, however, you filmed yourself walking round a puddle, you'd have a real cool story bro that would defe need to go on YouTube

Dashcams serve a useful purpose. But this OP is pathetic
